Why do gorillas and orangutan look more like humans than chimps or bonobos?

Question by grayure: Why do gorillas and orangutan look more like humans than chimps or bonobos? I understand that the consensus opinion is that Pongo and Gorilla are more distantly related to Homo than Pan is. However, when i see orangutan and gorillas they look more human to me than chimps do. Why is this? Is it because they're closer to us in size? Best answer: Answer by EricWe're all primates so we have similar traits.
